Abstract The present work is assigned to study the corrosion behavior of C-steel in 1molar hydrocloric acid solutions the inhibiting effect of some organic derivatives. The obtained results showed that the inhibition efficiency of these compounds increased by increasing their concentration, but decrease by increase temperature in series two so that the adsorption of the first series is physical and inhibition efficiency increase by increase temperature so the adsorption is chemical the adsorption of bithiophene derivatives follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Some thermodynamic parameters are computed and discussed. Galvanostatic polarization technique was used as a second method to study the inhibiting effect of the used inhibitors. Also, impedance spectroscopy measurements, electrochemical frequency modulation measurements. |
