Abstract Case control study aimed to evaluate and compare the effect of the Sodium hypochlorite ðylenediaminetetraacetic acid on the micro-tensile bond strength of both self-etch and universal adhesives to dentin. in addition to, evaluation of the hybrid layer zone formed by these variables using scanning electron microscope (SEM). Conclusion: from the current study it was concluded that application of combination of the endodontic irrigants, sodium hypochlorite and EDTA, was found to highly improve the quality of the adhesive bond to dentin. The use of universal adhesive in a self-etch mode was found to result in superior values regarding bond strength when compared to self-etch adhesive. |
