Abstract A total of 368 samples {142 environmental swab samples (32 from feeder, 32from drinker, 36 from wall and 42 from floor), 226 organs of diseased broiler chickens( 70 from heart, 82 from liver, 12 from lung, 30 from yolk, 16 from spleen and 16 from air sac)} were collected from different farms in Ismailia governorate, Egypt. Samples were subjected to bacteriological examination for isolation and identification of E. coli. The overall percentage of isolated E. coli was isolated 41.30% (152 isolates). The percentage of E. coli was 26.76% and 50.44% from environmental samples and organs of diseased broiler chickens respectively. |
