المستخلص

Verily , the development of language and speech happens naturally to individuals who do not suffer from impairments but thanks to culture that produces meaningful sounds and speech.
Stuttering is one of forms of disorders of pronunciation and speech which hinders the child from communicating with others and makes him unable to express himself , besides , it gets difficult for him to interact positively with surrounding environment and to send and receive , accordingly , affecting negatively his psychological and social accord and reflexing on his vocational and academic future .
The problem of the study :
The researcher can formulate the problem of the study in the following question :
what is the effectiveness of using a program of integrated activities in reducing severity of stuttering with primary stage children ?
is it possible to reduce severity of stuttering by using integrated activities?
after using this program , is it possible for severity of stuttering with children to reduce ?
The objectives of the study :
The study aims at :
identifying the degree of stuttering and trying to achive the goals of the program of integrated activities to reduce severity of stuttering with children .
verifying effectiveness of the program in reducing severity of stuttering with stutterer-children and verifying continuity of this after its application .
The importance of the study :
This study has :
A theoretical importance consisting in preparing a theoretical framework about stutterer-children in which we can show psychological , emotional and behavioral characteristics of those children .
an applied importance comprising :
1-preparing and applying a program of integrated activities to reduce severity of stuttering with primary stage children .
2-benefiting from the treatment method used in treating stuttering .
Terminology :
Integrated Activities :
The researcher defines integrated activities as the technique used in an organized and designed program for a limited period by using a group of activities ( oral ,musical , sporting , playing and story-telling ) to reduce severity of stuttering with primary school children .
Stuttering :
The researcher defines stuttering as difficulty of unrestrained speech flow and it can be in the form of prolongation or repetition of words or pauses in speech or before it .it may also be a disorder in the one sound which may be associated with emotional or involuntary movements on the face and limbs of the patient .
The study limit :
1-the sample :
The study sample consists of fife ( 5 ) children suffering from stuttering at the age of ( 9-12 ) years . children with disabilities of movement , hearing , vision and thinking ( mental state ) have been excluded .
2- the method :
The researcher has used the one-group semi-emperical approach .
The study tools :
stuttering- severity test , by dr Nahla abd elazeez elrefaey .
integrated-activities program , by the researcher .
Statistical methods used :
Wilcoxon signed-rank test to calculate the difference between the two mean related pairs .
Matched –pairs rank biserial correlation , by Kerby 2014 .
The study hypotheses :
There are statistically significant differences among the mean grades of the sample population in the stuttering-seveity test towards the post application .
No statistically significant differences have been found among the mean grades of the sample population in the stuttering-severity test towards the following-up application .
The study results :
The researcher has reached the following results :
statistically significant differences have been found among the mean grades of the study population in the two post and
Pre applications in the stuttering-severity test as a whole and for each one of his three skills towards the mean grades of the pre measurement meaning that the mean grades of the study population in the post-application in the test as a whole for each one of his three skills are fewer than those in the pre measurement .
No statistically significant differences have been found among mean grades of the study population in the two pro and pre measurements for stuttering-severity test , that is after the following-up period ( 4 weeks ) .
