Abstract patients’ compliance with therapeutic regimen as a lot of patients refuse treatment or give it up in which is required for fighting against the disease. Therefore, chronic illnesses need modifications in a person’s life style and require continuous adaptation. Therapeutic compliance can only be achieved if the patient has accepted his/her disease and understands the significance of the treatment proposed (Ali et al., 2017). Aim of the Study The aim of this study was to determine factors that affecting compliance with therapeutic regimen for patients with Coronary Artery Bypass Graft and develop suggested nursing guidelines. Research Questions 1- What are the factors affecting compliance with therapeutic regimen for patients with CABG? 2- Are the patients with CABG comply with the prescribed therapeutic regimen or not? Research Design A descriptive exploratory design was used in the current study. Study Setting This study was conducted in the Cardio-Thoracic Surgery outpatient Clinic at Suez Canal University Hospital, at the outpatient clinics building. Subject of the Study: A purposive sample of (81) adult patients after CABG , admitted in the previous mentioned sitting at the time of data collection, and accepted to participate in the study (32) female patients and (49) male patients. 9 of them were excluded for pilot study. |
