Abstract Due to the shortage of power generation, the utility is forced to follow the load shedding strategy to overcome this problem. Therefore, there is no guarantee for a reliable electrification for all customers. Up to the advent of a new era of smart technologies represented in the smart grid, the integration of smart management techniques can be fostered. The implementation of these strategies provides flexible options that aim mainly to manage the electrical consumption. One of the management requirements is the full monitoring of loads to assess the daily load curve. Smart meters with non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) techniques are used to ease the mission of collecting data. |
