Abstract Apricot is one of a fragile and climacteric fruit that ripens very quickly after harvest resulting in very short storage life, for this reason, there has been a continuous effort to develop postharvest technologies to extend its storage life and quality of apricot fruits. Among them, 1-Methylcyclopropene (1- MCP) and salicylic acid (SA) are widely used because it inhibits the action of ethylene receptors. The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of postharvest treatments with application of exposure to 1-MCP, SA dipping and their combinations on ripening. |
