Abstract characterize the relationship between serum ghrelin, and other hormonal parameters. Department of chemistry, Faculty of Science, Fayoum University Aim: obese women patients suffering from some biochemical changes, which may be causes secondary diseases and complications .So this study was to demonstrate the changes of serum ghrelin concentration in obese patients compared to lean subjects and to Subjects and Methods: 40 obese women patients and 40 normal people don’t sufering from any other diseases ranging between (25 – 65) years. BMI was determined and blood samples were collected from each group to determine serum Ghrelin hormonef, Leptin hormone, Growth hormone, fasting Insulin hormone, fasting Glucose, Insulin resistant (HOMA-IR) and lipid profile. Results: Data showed that a highly significant decrease in serum Ghrelin , Growth hormone and HDL-Cholesterol; of obese women compared to normal controls .On other hand , BMI ,serum leptin, insulin resistant (HOMA-IR) and triglyceride showed significant increase in obese women compared to lean subjects . In addition; Fasting insulin hormone, fasting glucose, Total cholesterol and LDL-Cholesterol showed non-significant difference between obese women and lean subjects. Conclusion: Obesity had effect on Ghrelin hormone, leptin hormone, Growth hormone, insulin resistant (HOMA-IR) and lipid profile levels in obese women.
