Abstract This study was conducted during the two consecutive seasons of 2013 and 2014 on forty eightuniform in vigour 15-years old Ewaise mango trees onto mango seedling rootstock. The trees are grown in a private orchard situated at El-Biara region, Kom Ombo district, Aswan Governorate. The selected trees are planted at 7 x 7 meter apart (7 between rows and 7 between trees). The soil texture of the tested orchard is silty clay. The goal of this study was elucidating the effect of single and combined applications of boric acid and potassium silicate on fruiting of Ewaise mango trees grown under Aswan region conditions. CONCLUSION: Under the present and resembling conditions, it is suggested to spray Ewaise mango trees with a mixture of boric acid at 0.05% and potassium silicate at 0.1% three times; at growth start, just after fruit setting, and at one month later for improving yield and fruit quality. |
