Abstract The modification of cellulose by amino guanidine and hydrazine imidazoline after oxidation of cellulose can be proved by elemental analysis which indicated that, the amount of N atoms found in the modified cellulose taken as evidence for the modification of the cellulose Scan electron microscope: indicated that, the long and narrow streps observed on the oxidized cellulose surface could be attributed to the partial corrosion of the fibre upon periodate treatment and relatively rough and porous surface taken as evidence for the modification of cellulose with different ligands. The sorption capacity of ((Gu-MC)),is lie within the range (40-85mg g-1) for Hg II, Cu II and Cd II, Zn II, Pb II .The sorption capacity of ion imprinted guanyl modified cellulose(II.Gu-MC)(115mg/g) and hydrazine imidazolino (55-120mg/g). The proposed procedure was successfully for separation, Preconcentration and determination of harmful metal ions in different samples: 1-Tap water 2-Geological sample 3- Alum sample . |
