Abstract This study was conducted to assess the effect of Nanobone grafting material manufactured by Nanotehnology in the treatment of intabony defects in chronic periodontitis as treatment modalities for intabony defects on clinical parameters and alveolar bone changes using indirect digital radiography. Within limits of the study, both NHA and OFD have proved to be beneficial in the management of intrabony defects. Greater pocket reduction, gain in clinical attachment level and defect fill were seen at six months for both NHA group and OFD group. Although treatment of intrabony periodontal defects with NBG led to more improvement in clinical and radiographic outcomes as compared to OFD, the difference between the two groups was statistically in-significant for any of the parameter measured. |
