Abstract

Three chitin synthesis inhibitors (teflubenzuron, novaluron and lufenuron) and a ryanodine receptor agonist (chlorantraniliprole) were evaluated against all developmental stages and on some biological aspects of cotton leafworm, Spodoptera littoralis, Tested insecticides were applied on four host plants (castor bean leaves, cotton leaves, tomato leaves, and soybean leaves) at concentrations corresponding to the 96-hrs LC50 established on castor bean leaves, Insecticide toxicity in relation to incubated temperature, Effect of tested insecticides on the infectivity of two entomopathogenic nematodes, Effect of the tested insecticides and evaluate the initial and residual performance on egg hatchability, larval survival and food consumption of S. littoralis under field conditions and Semi-field.
