Abstract

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare, clinically, radiographically,and biochemically the effect of nano-hydroxyapatite alone versus melatonin loaded nanohydroxyapatite and nano hydroxyapatite with platelet rich fibrin in the treatment of intra-bony defects in patients with severe chronic periodontitis. The probable osteoinductive property of afore-mentioned materials in experimentally created bony defects in the rabbits was evaluated and compared histologically and histomorphometrically.
