Abstract Introduction: Obesity is a chronic disease and, like any chronic medical condition, a specific treatment will have responders, non-responders, long-term failures or complications, and the potential need to escalate therapy over time. Bariatric surgery requires careful patient selection and a thorough evaluation of the behavioral issues. As the number of bariatric procedures performed increases, the number of patients who require revisional bariatric surgery will continue to grow. Aim: discussing revisional bariatric surgery for unsuccessful weight loss and complications. Summary: revisional bariatric surgery used in case of unsuccessful weight, and complications as stomal stenosis, ulcers and severe proteins mal nutrition. Conclusion: there is increase in number of bariatric surgery due to increase in numbers of primary bariatric surgery due to complications and failure in body mass index loss. |
