Abstract

The present investigation was conducted during 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons on 16-year-old King Ruby grapevines grown in a clay soil planted at 2m between rows and 3m within rows at a private vineyard, Shisheny vineyard located at Meniet Samanood village near Mansoura city, Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt. The aim of this investigation was to throw some light on the effects of fulvic acid as foliar application either alone or in combination with some macro-elements (Mg and K) fertilizers on vegetative growth, yield, physical and chemical characteristics of cluster and quality of berries of King Ruby grapevines. Obtained results are as follows: 1.The obtained results showed that combined application (T8) (Fulvic acid + Mg + K) significantly increased bud fertility%/vine as compared with that of control in 2 seasons of study. 2.It was cleared that combined application (T8) (Fulvic acid + Mg + K) gave the highest significant increase in shoot length and internodes diameter and gave the highest values in leaf chlorophyll content as compared with that of control as mean of two seasons of study. 3.The data indicated that the treatmeant, which gave the highest significant increase in N, P, K and Mg % in leaf petioles was obtained from combined application (T8) in 2 seasons of study. 4.It was cleared that combined application (T8) gave a significant increase in yield/vine as compared with that of control in both seasons of the study. 5.(T8) (Fulvic acid + Mg + K) gave the highest significant increase in total and reducing sugars% and gave the highest significant increase in total anthocyanin content in berry skin as compared with that of control in both seasons of study. 6.It was cleared that T8 gave the highest significant increase in wood ripening and weight of pruning wood as compared with that of control in both seasons of the study.
