The City of Nizwa is considered one of the most important city’s in Oman, it Located on the display circuit (56 ”22 °) to the north, and longitude (32” 57 °) to the east, on the southern slope of the green of the mountain on both sides of the White Valley, who meets with the valley Kalpoh in the city center, where is located in the heart of the interior province which mediates northern Oman. The study includes five chapters preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion.The first chapter discusses the emergence of urbanization and development in the city of Nizwa, The second chapter discussed geographical characteristics affecting the architecture in Nizwa, which was divided into two physical characteristics affecting the architecture in Nizwa, and included the location and geographical position of the city of Nizwa, topography characteristics, soil and climate characteristics, and waterways, while the second axis handled human characteristics affecting on Nizwa urban, such as characteristics of the population, and infrastructure for the city of Nizwa.While the third chapter discussed the land use in Nizwa, in terms of the distribution relative to land space and used on the city of Nizwa in 2014, and the types of land uses in Nizwa in 2014, which included residential use, agricultural use, industrial use, commercial use, and use of tourism, and services. The fourth chapter discussed the urban planning for the city of Nizwa, it was studded the concept of urban planning, and evaluation of some physical characteristics of the city of Nizwa, and strategic urban planning for the city of Nizwa, and some proposals for the development and modernization of urban planning for the city of devices. The conclusion included the most important scientific results found by the student with some of recommendations and suggestions for the study area.
