1- Subject and Importance:
The study sought to allocate the affecting social factors of dealing with the environment in the Yemeni society where a study is provided which assumes that the social & cultural factors of the society affect the people’s dealing with their environments, and given the Yemeni society is distinguished with its geographic location and social structure which make people pursue many ways to deal with the existing environment in this society as some them may mistreat that environment and the others may deal with it positively . That’s what pushed the researcher to search for these social and cultural factors that determine people’s dealing with their environment whether it was positive or negative.
The researcher’s justifications of choosing this subject were originated from many reasons including:
- The personal motivation of revealing the affecting social factors of dealing with the environment, and were evident in the Yemeni society recently.
- The result of the theoretical legacy and the former studies like deficiencies and gaps of studying dealing with the environment in Yemen.
- The researcher’s notes of the spread of some cultural and social legacies in the Yemeni society and particularly in the Hadramot society because these legacies participate in the irrational dealing with the environment in the Yemeni society.
- The social developments which influenced all aspects of life in the Yemeni society, specially, in the recent decade like the prevalence of the culture of consumption, random construction, excessive hunting, infringement of the natural environment , high rates of pollution.
