Abstract The Nile Delta is located in tectonically unstable area of the northern Africa and Mediterranean. This area is strongly affected by large magnitude earthquakes from East Mediterranean, Gulf of Suez, Gulf of Aqaba, Northern Red sea and Cairo-Suez district. The Nile Delta area contains very important infra-structures as bridges, tunnels, industry zones, gas fields and high buildings. Due to the importance of Nile Delta the Nile Delta Strong-motion Accelerograph Network (NDSN) are installed since 2008. This network is composed of 12 stations, seven stations are made of 130-SMA accelerograph are operated by RTPD server, and five stations are made of Titan-SMA operated by NAQS server. Our approaches is to introduce new operation system which can developed and control the data processing systems of the 130-SMA and Titan-SMA instruments, this carried out by using the Earthworm (EW) system, which builds a customized real time data acquisition system. The new system is designed to receive real time data from the RTPD and NAQS data acquisitions of the 130-SMA and Titan-SMA, respectively and unify them in new format. Key wards: Nile Delta, RTPD, Nanometrics, Titan-SMA, Reftek, 130-SMA. |
