Abstract Hematuria is a common urological problem that accounts for 4%–20% of all urologic visits. There are many causes of hematuria but the most common causes are stones followed by renal cell carcinoma then urinary bladder carcinoma. Our patients may also complain beside hematuria from associated symptoms as loin pain, pelvic pain, dysuria and fever. The aims of our study was to evaluate the role of multi-detector Computed Tomography (MDCT) in diagnosis the causes of hematuria. This study was carried out on fifty patients (34males &16females). They aged from 25to 75 years old with a mean age of 50 years old .all patients underwent complete history taking, full clinical examination & laboratory investigation then U/S & MDCT examination of the abdomen and pelvis. Our study proved that, the most affected age group with hematuria was from 50- ≤75 years and it was more common in males than females. |
