Abstract

due to the great importance of ionic liquid and salophen moieties as their assorted pharmacological effects including anti- microbial , anti-fungal, acetyl-co-a carboxylase inhibitors, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, anti- convulsant, anti- tumor, anti - tubercular, neuroprotective, anti- cancer, anti - depressant, anti-convulsant, anti-leishmanial, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, radio-protective , anti-diabetic, anti histaminic, anti-oxidant, antipyretic, molluscicidalm anti-viral, anti-parasitic and analgesic. motivated by the wide-spectrum biological properties of Schiff bases and ionic liquids(ILS) and also inspired by an urgent need for development of new antibiotic we aim in our thesis to synthesize new Schiff bases bearing salophene and ionic liquids (ILS) terminals. Moreover, study there in vitro antimicrobial / anticancer assessment of the new compounds, which may allow us to develop a new promising therapeutic strategy to combat antibiotic and anticancer resistance against breast and human colon carcinoma (HCT-116) cell lines.
The work in my thesis was divided into three chapters
chapter 1 ( introduction)
Gives a short account about antimicrobial chemotherapy, Anticancer chemotherapy, Ionic Liquids (ILS), Schiff bases, biological properties of Copper, Copper complexes with antimicrobial, antifungal activity and antitumor activity, biological activity of Vanadium.
chapter 2 (Results and Discussions)
Involves the essential work and divided into 4 parts
chapter 3 Experimental
Include the experimental part of the thesis work and also divided into four parts.
