Abstract This study aims to study the relationship between clinical decision making md factors interfering with critical thinking dispositions among students at aculty of nursing in Port- Said University. A co-relation descriptive study was ised. The sample includes 155 students and73 nursing educator. Data were :ollected by using three tools, I) Clinical decision making in nursing scale CDMNS), II) California critical thinking disposition inventory (CCTDI), and II) Barriers to teach critical thinking scale. The study results revealed that, the iursing students have high ability in CDM, while has a moderate level of the :ritical thinking disposition (CTD). On the other hand, nurse educators have a ugh positive level of CTD, and a high level of barriers to teach critical hinking. Globally, there is no statistical significant correlation between CDM, :TD of nursing student, nursing educator and barriers to teaching critical hinking, although there is a statistical significant correlation among some limensions of these variables. It was recommended that nursing programs need to .e revised for the inclusion of resources needed to implement critical thinking to nursing tudents and continuous training for nursing educator and students about CT vhether the theory or practice and how to evaluate its dispositions effectively, .tarting early when student admission. |
