Abstract This study evaluates the use of intact bridge mastoidectomy and cartilage myringoplasty in the management of persistent wet central perforations of the tympanic membrane.This study included 97 patients (97 ears) who were prepared for intact bridge mastoidectomy and cartilage myringoplasty, Their ages ranged from 12 to 48 years.In this study all patients , the approach was postauricular approach and the intact bridge Mastoidectomy and the cartilage tympanoplasty was done for management of persistent wet perforations.This study evaluate the results and record the time and condition of the graft (taken or not), any failure and possible difficulties, hearing results after 6 months of the operation and use ABG and SRT as indicators for progress or deterioration of hearing |
