Abstract
The preeclamptic patient are diagnosed on the basis of clinical diagnosis,and showing the diagnostic criteria for preeclampsia which include blood pressure of 140/90 mmHg on two or more occasions after 20th week of pregnancy, in a previously normotensive women in the presence of significant proteinuria (either 300mg in a 24- hour collection urine or 2+ on a voided random urine sample in the absence of urinary tract infection)The present study was conducted on 43 newly diagnosed women with preeclampsia after 20 weeks of gestation All patients and controls were subjected to the following: 1-History taking and clinical examination. 2-Liver function and renal function tests. 3-CBC. 4-Measurment of soluble P-selectin in serum of patients.
