Abstract Introduction Tobacco is the only legal drug that kills many of its users when used exactly as intended by manufacturers. Aim of the Study This study aims to spot some light on the differences in smoking habits between medical and non-medical students in Ain Shams University and their trends to quit smoking. Subjects and Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted among smoker students in the Faculty of Medicine and other faculties in Ain Shams University, Data from these participants were collected through a performed questionnaire. Results High prevalence of smoking among Ain shams University students was found. Conclusion The study recommends that smoking cessation clinics should be established to help those trying to quit smoking. |
