Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is one of the most common behavioral disorders of childhood, It affects three to six percent of school age children (American Psychiatric Association: 2014) and characterized by developmentally inappropriate attention, impulsivity and hyperactivity.
There are several studies indicating that Consequences of ADHD can persist through adolescence, adulthood, and the subsequent lifespan causes multiple impairments spills over into other areas of life, such as school, home, learning, and interactions with others. (Barkley, R.A, Fischer, M: 2011, O’Rourke, S.: 2014, Yen, C. F.: 2007, Mayes, S.D.: 2009, Streeck. F., A: 2006)
Despite the importance of the ADHD disorder due to its clear interference with the appropriate development of social, academic, or occupational functioning. Reviewing Arab psychological literature indicate lack of Arab studies on cognitive abilities and Personality Assessment in ADHD children which this study Handles particularly.
