• ban centers suffer from several problems, including the conflict of bottlenecks in trafficand interference in the activities, as well as the inadequacy of the existing urban fabric of hanges in the means of transport used.o dealing with this research through successive chapters examine the impact of traffic congestion on the efficient planning of the city center. The research is divided into three main sections as follows:Part I: Theoretical study and planning of the road network centers of cities Falls under this chapter, the. first in which the historical development of the emergence of urbanization, roads and theories and determinants of the city center and the analysis of the problems of urban centers presents the door, but in the second chapter focuses on the roads and transportation networks and traffic types and classification of roads planning theories according to international schools, according to the viewpoint of the planners of transportation and traffic, urban planners, In the third quarter has been the study of the correlation between the road network and land use and transportation. Part IT: analytical study of the city center of Tripoli This section begins with chapter IV which is known in Libya and their territories planning and historical evolution of the city of Tripoli, while in the fifth chapter deals with research of the study area and the traffic out and land uses and types of waste transportation and road network, and the study of traffic volume during peak hours and to identify I intersections affecting the movement of vehicles, and ends with this door to Chapter VI, which deals with the study of the problem of traffic congestion in the city center. Part ill: lnternatlonal experiences in the transportation sector This section begins with Chapter VII, in which. the study deals with a historical overview of the city of Barcelona and the transport and communications services, the city of Barcelona and networks of transmission lines and considerations planning center in the citycenter, and ends with this research to Chapter VIII, which presents the fmdings andrecommendations to help solve the problem of traffic congestion and reduce clicking on the street network within the city center.
