Abstract Otits media is a disease involving middle ear effusion and inflammation. to assess maternal knowledge and reported practices regarding care of their infants suffering from Otitis medi. the study was conducted at the available medical centers of primary health care settings providing care to infants suffering from Otitis media and affiliated toIsmailia Health Sectiob , namely: El-shiek zayed, WEl-Sabba Banat, Hai El-Salam, El Shohadaa and Rl-Mostakbal medical center. The sample included 218 mothers attending to previously mentioned settings, having infants suffering from Otitis media.. data were obtained through an interview with the studied mothers using Two tools, structured questionnaire sheet and observational check lists of ear hygienic care and Ear DROP instillation. Th result : revealed that, more than two third (70%)of the studied mothers had un0satisfactory total scores of knowledge, while almost less than two thirds (64.7%)of them had satisfactory total scores of reported practices regarding care of their infants suffering from Otitis media. |
