Abstract
Malformation of the rectum and anus include a wide spectrum of defects ranging from the slight malposition of an anteriorly displaced or ectopic anus to complete agenesis of the anorectal canal. The most frequent defect in males is imperforate anus with recto-urethral fistula,followed by recto-perineal fistula.
