Abstract Experiment study were performed on natural convection heat transfer from vibrated vertical flat plate heated under constant heat flux (10-600) W/m2. The working fluid used is air. The effects of the modified Rayleigh number, (107≤Ra*≤1010), vibration frequency (0≤F≤25), cycle/sec, amplitude (0≤A≤7.6), mm and vibrational Reynolds number (3.8*102≤Rev≤2.3*104), were studied. Over the tested range of modified Rayleigh number, it is found that the vibrated plate generally shows higher heat transfer coefficients than that of the stationary one for all values of amplitude, and frequency. It is also concluded that the heat transfer is strongly affected by the vibration frequency while it is weakly affected by vibration amplitude. The Nusselt number has been correlated in a dimensionless form as a function of modified Rayleigh numberContent of the thesis : The thesis consists of (5) chapters as follows : Chapter 1 introduction about the important of free convection , developing and steady at stationary and vibrated. Chapter II literature review including natural convection, developing and steady Chapter III including the description of experimental apparatus and procedure with measuring instruments. A heat transfer experiment was performed to demonstrate the effects of unsteadiness, vibration effect on Natural convection heat transfer problem. Chapter IV The experimental result are plotted and discussed. Chapter V include the important conclusions and the suggestion of future work. |
