Abstract In this dissertation the efforts in this study has been devoted to find out a radiation area monitoring from the local environmental samples and the results of this work could lead to the following conclusions 1. All the different sizes of our studied samples (Ws, Rs, Bs, Gs and Ys) exhibited TL-signal after exposed to test dose (100 Gy) from gamma source (60Co). 2. The optimum grain size that has a maximum TL-intensity value was in range [150-75 μm] of (Ws and Rs) samples and we have chosen it to complete our TL-Properties. 3. The obtained results in the structural and chemical analysis by XRD and XRF, proves that there is a sort of the crystallinity of (Ws and Rs) samples. In addition, reveals the presence of some amount of highly crystalline Quartz in form of silica with percentage (97.96%, 95.84% respectively), and other minerals which exhibit TL-signal. 4. The morphological studies of (Ws and Rs) samples by using (SEM) showed that the quartz grains are angular to sub rounded marked by peeling of surface as a result of intense chemical weathering, angular grain with smoothed edges and sides were |
