Abstract In today’s highly competitive health care environment, each member of the health care organization must be accountable for the quality and cost of health care. An analytical study, aiming to measure the effect of nursing management process was applied by head nurses on quality of patient care. The sample was composed of 54 head nurses and 206 patients, collected from the inpatient departments of the Main Mansoura University Hospital, using two tools. It included self administered questionnaire, and an observation checklist. The results of the present study revealed that, there’s astatistically significant relations found between staffing element and quality of patient care. The study recommended Designing training programs based on management educational needs of nursing management so as to improve the unacceptable administrative functions. Encourage nurses toacquire new skills to increase the quality of patient care. |
