Abstract Coronary Heart Diseases (CHD) rank as the top diseases causing death in the world. This thesis aims to introduce a modification in diagnose CHD using Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) imaging. The modification is used to analyze IVUS images for detection of lumen and media-adventitia borders and introduces a 3D model to reconstruct vessel. In this thesis three automated approaches for detection of lumen and media adventitia borders in IVUS images are introduced. A 3D reconstruction model has introduced and a modified algorithm is applied to speed up the segmentation process (up to 200%) with higher accuracy of 98%. |
