المستخلص

The study, in its research approach, emphasizes the concept of sustainable development and re-drawing a new relationship between the existing entities and their basis resources. This relationship is primarily dependent on the maintenance of these resources and their use, especially the ones which are rare and non-renewable, which guarantees safe and balanced coexistence for human beings to deal with their environment The significance of adopting the environmental dimension of the desert development process: relative failure of many Arab experiments to establish constructional settlements in the desert has been based on inappropriateness for the desert environment. Accordingly, this study illustrates the characteristics and features of deserts and raises many planning and constructive considerations for all elements of constructional communities.It observes the environmental considerations in the constructional planning of desert compounds .It should include other constructional details, such as: establishment design and care of open and green spaces to implement the greatest possible percentage.The desert environment occupies a great percentage of the Libyan space. Following a special method for planning its cities is necessary for its reality and constructional and social basics, as the construction of desert areas depends on many bases and rules that must be complied with.In order to reach construction connected to the desert, it requires a design that is compatible with the environment, observing positive and negative points in the desert environmental phenomena. The use of contemporary research instruments and the use of modern technology which effectively contribute to achieving the design that is compatible with the desert environment helps in achieving this.
