Abstract This thesis is devoted to investigate the ionization and excitation of hydrogen atoms being initially in the ground state (1s) or the excited state (2s) by proton or antiproton collisions. The ionization process is studied in the framework of the closured second Born approximation, where the fully differential cross sections are calculated. Also, the excitation process is studied in the framework of the impact parameter treatment, where the total cross sections are calculated. |
