المستخلص The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of using an educational program based on the integration of Science, Technology, Society and Environment approach (STSE) in teaching science for prep school pupils to develop their critical thinking skills, the scientific attitude and retention of learning. The study has been applied on a sample of (50) pupils from the second prep of Ali Moubark Experimental Distinguished Language School. The researcher prepared and used The educational program based on the integration of science, technology, society and environment approach, The teacher’s guide for teaching the educational program, Activities notes and Help me booklet. Also the evaluation tools: Test of critical thinking and problem solving skills and Scientific attitude scale towards the environment. The study concluded: 1-There is a significant statistical difference at the level of (0.01) in achievement between the applications of the Pre- test and the post- test of the critical thinking and problem solving skills in all sections and the total for the favor of the post-test. 2- There is a significant statistical difference at the level of (0.01) in achievement between the applications of the Pre and the post scientific attitude scale towards the environment in all sections and the total for the favor of the post- scientific attitude scale. 3- There is a significant statistical difference at the level of (0.01) in achievement between the applications of the post-test and the post post- test of the critical thinking and problem solving skills in all sections and the total for the favor of the post-test. 4- There is no significant statistical difference at the level of (0.01) in achievement of section one, and there is a significant statistical difference at the level of (0.01) in achievement of sections two, three and the total of scientific attitude scale towards the environment for the favor of the post- scientific attitude scale. 5- There is no significant statistical relation in achievement between the development of the critical thinking and problem solving skills and the development of the scientific attitude towards the environment. |
