Abstract Several diseases have been reported to affect bean plants in Egypt. Damping off, root rot and wilt are considered the most serious diseases that cause considerable losses in bean yield and quality. In this study Pythium ultimum ,Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum,Fusarium chlamydosporum and Fusarium acutatum were isolated from root rotted and wilted bean plants .Pathogenicity test indicated that all isolated fungi differed in their pathogenicity to bean plants .All the tested bean cultivars were susceptible to ,P. ultimum,R.solani, F.oxysporum,F.chlamydosporum and F.acutatum under green house condition with different degrees .The fungicides Ridomil Gold Plus, Rizolex-N , kemazed 50% and Carbendazim 50% recorded different effect on inhibiting the mycelial growth of all tested fungi as compared with the control .Under green house conditions, also the fungicides Ridomil Gold plus, Rizolex-N , Kemazed 50% and Carbendazim 50% showed different effect on controlling root rot and wilt disease in bean plants under green house conditions. The biopesticides Plant-Guard ,Bioarc ,Biozeid ,Rhizo N and Clean root, recorded different effects on inhibiting the mycelial growth of all tested fungi as compared with the control.
