Abstract

This These Tackled on the history of craft specializations and artisans in Egypt during the Greco- Roman Period. In the verybeginning, it throws light of the origin of craft specializations and tools and its importance. Then the study shows the craft specializations in ancient Egypt as an introduction. Thestudy relies on the different glimpses of crafts and its guilds. And We represent the craftsmen and their economic rolein Taxes and markets .We also show the social life of the craftsman , his community, houses, the inheritance of the craft , his religion, his wife and his children , and the role of them in his craft and his careers. Finally we give the material evidences on our study depending on scenes, papyrus and monumental structures.
