Abstract The multiuser detection (MUD) in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems has great interest , it offers significant increases in data throughput and link rang without additional bandwidth or increased transmit power. Many proposed suboptimal detection schemes have low computational complexity, but also having poor detection performance compared to the optimal detector. Various MUD schemes can be improved through using optimization algorithm such as genetic algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO) and simulated annealing (SA) algorithms. In this work, we proposed three novel schemes of iterative joint channel estimation and MUD (JCEMUD), the first scheme is iterative joint channel estimation and maximum like lihood detection (MLD). The second is iterative joint channel estimation and partial parallel interference cancellation (PPIC) and the last is iterative joint channel estimation and orderd successive interference cancellation (OSIC) |
