Abstract
The genus Heliotropium L. (Boraginaceae) in the Flora of Yemen has been investigated taxonomically. The present study revealed the presence 12 species belonging to 7 sections of genus Heliotropium in Yemen. An introductory section, deals with the most significant features of Boraginaceae and Heliotropium, and detailed literature review about the classification of Boraginaceae in general and specifically of the genus Heliotropium L. were provided. Detailed description of each studied taxa and a synopsis of the genus in Yemen, in addition to an artificial key for separation between of Heliotropium species in Yemen are given, literature citation of type specimens and their locations, selected synonyms and up-to-date nomenclature for all studied taxa are presented.
