المستخلص
This thesis deals with the economic conditions in Egypt during the era of Wulah. It consists of an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. The introduction tackles the importance of the topic of this thesis and provides a brief note on the concept of economy and the economic situation in Egypt before the Arab conquest. The first chapter deals with the agricultural situation in Egypt during the era of Wulah; and the second treats of the industrial situation during that period. The third chapter examines the commercial conditions, including internal and external trade, during the period under discussion. As for the fourth chapter, it discusses the different systems of economic transactions. We can conclude & 102;& 114;& 111;& 109; this study that agriculture in Egypt during the era of Wulah was in a very good position, as was industry. Many documents, as we have seen, confirm these conclusions. As for commerce we can say with confidence that it was very active, both internally and externally. Egypt received goods & 102;& 114;& 111;& 109; the east and & 102;& 114;& 111;& 109; the west. Commercial exchange between Egypt and many foreign countries led to the flourshment of the Egyptian economy during the period under discussion.In the end, it should be pointed out that this thesis made use of 725 documents, 99 of which were not published before. Indeed, this study has been based on the solid evidence of these documents.
