Abstract This in vitro study was carried out on 110 rats male Sprague- Dawley rats weighting 200-250 gm used in this experiment. The rats were obtained from the Central Animals House of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University. Animals are maintained in stainless steel cages in the biochemistry Department under hygienic condition. The animals received standard rats pellet diet and water ad-libitum for 15 days before the experiment for adaptation. Experimental design: Rats under study were classified as follows: Group I (Control group): comprised of 10 rats, received no drugs and get free access to water and food. Group II (Lead acetate group): comprised of 100 rats, injected intraperitoneally with lead acetate for 5 days consecutively at a dose of 50 mg /Kg Body weight. After 5 days of injection, 10 rats were scarified, which used as (Control positive group), 90 rats from this group were rested, theses rats would be treated with different costus speciosus extracts as illustrated in group III. |
