Abstract Two experiments were conducted on broiler and layer Japanese quails. The first experiment was studying the effect of environmental enrichment on the productive performance of broiler Japanese quail kept under high stocking density (60 bird/m2), while the second experiment was to investigate the effect of environmental enrichment on the productive and reproductive performance of layer Japanese quail reared under high stocking density (60 bird/m2). It was found that environmental enrichment had significant impact on increasing the productive and reproductive traits of Japanese quail under high density and had an effective role in achieving good quail welfare. |
