المستخلص

This research discusses the effect of modern climatic changes on
economic activities, in which the effect is clearer, such as the activities
of agriculture, pasture, and fishing, at Misrata Plain Region in Libya.
This plain is located on its north coast. This is an attempt to link between
the analytic and applied study to recognize this effect. This requires
observing the climatic changes in the region and knowledge about the
direction of the prevalent economic activity. Concerning the
methodology adopted in the study, this study adopts the regional
approach of one plain in Libya and the thematic approach to study the
climatic elements and their effect on the economic activity. Thus, the
study adopts three major pivots: description, linkage and analysis; of
climatic changes one the one hand, and of the said economic activities
on the other hand. The student uses the mathematical and statistical
quantitative methods, as advanced systematic methods in geographical
studies.
The cartographic method is adopted in analyzing data and
graphically representing it on Excel program. Satellite images are used
to discover the change in the region features over time. In analyzing the
change, he depends on data from Misrata meteorological station, with
reference to this change on the regional and international levels.
from Chapter One, it is clear that the change in the global
temperature throughout the past 3000 years ranges within three
centigrade degrees (oC); and now it is in rise. It rose above the mean
during the twentieth century by about 0.74oC. In relation rain change, it

is regional, varying between one region and another. There are changes
relating to the ice cap space, a change in the sea level, and changes.
