Abstract The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the effect of some materials on the healing process of an experimentally induced right femur fractures in dogs fixed with Ender’s nail (E ). The present work conducted on twenty apparently healthy male mongrel dogs divided into four groups, each of 5 dogs. group (I) left as a control. Groups (II and III) were treated with iliac crest autologus bone graft (IeBG) and Hydroxyapatite (H.A) respectively, while group (IV) treated with iliac crest autologus bone graft along with Hydroxyapatite. Clinical, radiographical and histological examinations were carried out for assessment of the healing process. The study showed that iliac crest autologus bone graft along with Hydroxyapatite. provides the best results among all groups of this study.
