Abstract Since ALL accounts for 77% of childhood leukemias and more than 20% of adult leukemias, it was important to search for new markers to aid in the diagnosis and follow up of the disease. OPN is an adhesive glycoprotein which is secreted and expressed in ALL patients. High levels of OPN may give information on prognosis of ALL in children. In addition, monitoring these levels along the disease course is needed to confirm whether this marker gives more information about unfavorable outcome of this malignancy. The present study aimed to study the serum OPN levels in ALL patients at the time of diagnosis and comparing these levels with serum OPN levels in healthy individuals |
