Abstract The aim of the study was to carry out a comparison between the effects of self ligating and three dimensional lingual brackets on alignment and leveling of the upper arch teeth in class I malocclusion non extraction cases. A sample of twenty subjects was included in this study. The subjects were divided into two equal groups (self ligating and lingual techniques). Metallic markers were placed in the palate bilaterally. The cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was the imaging technique used pre treatment. The brackets were bonded in both groups. A month after placing the final wire, another CBCT was taken. MIMICS 10.01software was used to measure the tip, torque and arch width changes pre and post treatment in the anterior teeth of the upper arch. |
