Abstract

In this report, control system and instrumentation applied to water flooding process, we have introduction to control system, water flooding process principles, component and case study to the control system using PLC GE 90-30 and quick panel viewHMI. In the 1 st chapter ”Introduction ”, we will develop a general introduction to
control system by examining the component of the most important dynamics that are common to many processes. In the 2nd chapter ”Water Flooding”, we will discuss water flooding process component and the control that should be done at each component in the plant. It also describes the job of each component. In the 3rd chapter ”Valves”, we will discuss valve types such as control valve and its actuator, back pressure regulator, pressure regulator and pressure / vacuum safety valve. It also describes there component and the usage of each one. In the 4th chapter ”Measurement”, we will discuss types of process parameter
and how to measure it such as pressure, temperature, level and flow. It also describes different methods to measure each parameter. In the 5th chapter ”Control System”, we will discuss PLC based control system
and its components. It also describes the integration between PLC and plant component to manage the plant.
