Abstract

Drug resistance during tumor progression is a true problem as this is the major reason for the failure of cancer therapy. The transcription factor nuclear factor kappa B (NF-kB) is found in nearly all animal cell types. High constitutive activation of NF-kB has been found in different cancers, leading to chemotherapeutic resistance. Curcumin, is a natural compound extracted from Curcuma longa L , one of the most studied chemopreventive agents,.that helps suppression, retardation and inversion of carcinogenesis. Curcumin has an anti-tumoral, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities so it has ability to induce apoptosis in numerous cellular systems
