Abstract Preparation of uncontaminated phosphogypsum (PG), that produced by wet process phosphoric acid, for using safety in many industrial applications was investigated. PG waste produced from the phosphate fertilizers industry has been characterized by chemical and radiological analyses using different spectroscopic analyses (such as: -, -spectrometry, IR spectra and X-ray spectrometry. The results indicated that, phosphogypsum is mainly composed of calcium sulfate, and contains enhanced natural radioactivity |
