Abstract Designing an efficient wireless communication system is always a challenge. Recently. Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access (SC-FDMA) has been considered as a promising uplink transmis sion bscheme for next generation mobile communications. This thesis proposes different efficient image transmission systems over SC-FDMA. Quadrature Phase Shift Keying SC-FDMA (QPSK-SC-FD:’vIA) uses two transform domains. Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). To select the proper scheme for image transmission. The experimental results show that the QPSK- DCT-SC- FD:’vIA system achieves higher Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) values than the QPSK- DFT -SC-FDMA system, because it has an excellent spectral energy compaction property. In addition. it uses only real arithmetics rather than the complex arithmetics used in the DFT. |
